The Jewel Of Vidarbha - TADOBA

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Tiger Zinda Hai' aka Nikhil here.

I had always dreamed of me sitting in an open air gypsy to meet the 'Jungle King'.
My Dream did come true, as me along with my family and in-laws visited The Jewel Of Vidarbha - TADOBA. There are six access gates to the jungle, we had opted for Moharli.

Govt. has availed us with two Safaris everyday, Morning and Evening. We had opted for both.
Needless to say that any visitor who visits national park is keen to sight the Tiger. Before the trip, I had heard of stories that many people had done 10 plus Safaris without Tiger sighting while some were some had Tiger sighting in the first instance itself. It's purely based on your Luck and 'His mood'.

Our day started early at 05.30 am.All of us were up and ready at our MTDC resort for our first Safari. Camouflage cargo, mercury wayfarers and hats gave us the 'Wild' look. Chilling winds started to blow as our Gypsy took speed. Our guides were fantastic as they gave us some unbelievable knowledge. Every tiger has his 'Marked Territory'. Nobody interferes in each others territory and if anybody tries to do so, has to bear the consequences. A tiger hunts only when he is hungry. He never accumulates prey, just because its readily available. How beautiful it would have been if we the, 'Social Animal' would have learnt a thing or two from the 'Wild Animal'.

We were greeted by number of Deers, wandering around, grazing, running. They were a symbol of how harmless a creature could look like. Our guide also informed us that after making Tadoba a 'Tiger Reserve', 80% of the jungle was closed for the visitors as eventually it's 'Their Home'. Tara, Maya, Sonam are the popular tigress while Matkasur is the dominant male. He informed us on how animals caution everyone else by giving a 'Call' when they spot the Big Cat. Just while he was speaking, we heard a Sambar call, and there he was. The Man Himself, The talk of the town, The Man of the hour, The celebrity for whom we had traveled all the way from Mumbai. We were absolutely stunned to see the 20 month cub of Tara. He was at a distance of no more than 50 meters from us. All of us have filled that sight in our eyes forever now. We waited there for about half an hour sighting him, clicking his pictures and guess what, dry grass besides him shook and there stands another cub who walks pass him slowly showing us how exactly a King walks.

We had our Lunch and got ready for our second afternoon Safari. We were still not over our morning experience and we saw two 'dangerous' crocodiles patiently waiting a the side of a lake. Our guide informed that the lake had around 80 of them, can you imagine. Indian bison, Bear, Elephants and some never seen birds were the talking points of our second safari. But when God and the King both are kind, nobody can stop you. We were so lucky that we spotted Maya and her two cubs running one behind the other. Nothing can be as graceful as a running tiger. Our trip concluded with some unforgettable memories. Readers, I request one and all to visit any national park of your choice, mainly for two things: 1. To experience the unending thrill that 'His' yellow eyes are constantly watching you from those dry yellow grass, 2. To remind us on how 'Nothing' are we in front of the mother nature.

The Lottery ticket

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Oye Lucky' aka Nikhil here.
After posting a few articles, I thought of writing a Short-Story. Your honest feedback is really appreciated  ๐Ÿ™

Vinod was waiting for his bus at the Bus-Stop which was as usual, late. In his head, he fought with his wife on their month-end crisis and he won too. Head's probably the only place he could have won against her. Sun was in no mood to help his sweaty shirt. Meanwhile, a paperboy insisted him to buy one. He did so to pass the time while waiting for the bus. On the front page itself, Vinod saw a big Advt. of a Man from the same town who had won a lottery worth 4,00,000 .

He blamed his misfortune, as he has been buying lottery ticket every week since ages but had never won a single penny. In fact he was involved in several fights with his wife over the same topic. At that very moment a man came and stood besides him. While removing his handkerchief, a Lottery ticket slipped out of his pocket. Vinod noticed it, and much to his surprise it had the same lucky number printed over it. Vinod double checked it with cross eyes to be 100% sure. His first and immediate reaction was to inform the man and wish him, but he doesn't. He now gets into a 'To be or Not To be' dilemma. Pending Promotion, Home loan EMIs, School donations started to appear in front of his eyes. The greedy mind won indeed. He threw his handkerchief and bends down to act as if he wants to pick it and picks up the Lottery ticket as well.

Vinod who rarely took a Auto, now hired a Cab and rushed to the nearby lottery store. He asked the Cabbie to wait as had planned to return home and share the good news with his family. An overjoyed Vinod reached the store and presented his lottery ticket. However, his joy didn't last long. Lottery store owner rubbished his claim stating that the ticket was a hoax. There was no such winner. He was framed, his mind blasted.

Unsure about what’s going on, he finds another guy reading the same paper which had no such Advt. on the front page. He thinks of calling his police friend, that’s when he gets shell-shocked. He finds, he has been pick pocketed by the duo when he had bend to pick up the ticket. His left pocket was without his mobile phone too. Thunder struck Vinod requested the shopkeeper for his mobile in order to call the bank only to get to know that his Credit Card too got maxed out few mins ago. The bank officials did try calling him to confirm, but his mobile was obviously unavailable.

Vinod had no clue what had happened to him. In the last hour he had lost all his money, his newly bought Mobile phone and his bank was ready with a hefty Credit Card due too. That's when a voice struck him, 'Sir, the Taxi meter is still running.'

I stopped cursing my job, when...

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Monday Blues' aka Nikhil here.

It's been a tense couple of weeks for our family as my 'Mother' and 'Would be Mother-in-law' both were admitted in the hospital at the same time for the same reason. Too much love, isn't it? ๐Ÿ˜’ Friends, no matter what, get a good Mediclaim for your entire family right now. Educate its necessity to others as well who waste no time in dismissing it.

However, these 2 weeks taught me a lot of the efforts that are put in by the hospital staff. Their management, their work ethics, their situational awareness. Hats-off to everyone right from Doctors to the Housekeeping staff. This brings us to the main reason for writing this post. Readers, how easily do we say that our job sucks, or our work life is boring, or how monotonous is our project work. It's time we open our eyes wide open and look at the work our fellow countrymen are doing. Most underrated jobs done by them are allowing us to sit in a comfortable environment and curse our jobs.

While we take pride in admitting our Grandpa in a posh hospital, the ward boy was busy cleaning his feces. Did we ever think of that guy who picks up a dead pigeon of the road early morning so that we can briskly do our morning walk. Have we spared a thought of the guy who cleans our city's drainage pipes so that we can flaunt 'Swachch Bharat' T-Shirts.

When we are foolishly spending money on the last rites of our loved ones, there is that guy who stays in the graveyard with the dead so that his family lives. Find sending daily work report hectic? Think of the Dr. who prepare a Post-mortem report. Thinking of hanging your boots because of so called stress, much lesser stress than the Hangman who hangs prisoners, right?

I don't think anyone of us have any damn right to complain our work-life as I believe we are definitely in a better environment than a mortuary, graveyard, drainage, or a garbage van. Next time when we face any of these 'Boss' individuals, you may or my not tip them, but lets make sure we say them a big  Thank You

Hey Dad, if you are listening...

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Dad's Dream' aka Nikhil here.

I don't know why, I don't know how but we have to admit, its Mom always, Dad sometimes for almost all of us. So I thought let me take this opportunity and celebrate the most underrated love in the world - Father's Love. I would hence like to share something about my Baba with you all.

I lost my father 6 years back, but, there hasn't been 1 week when he wasn't in my dreams. He is always there to help me in my lack of decision making ability. I am stubborn in calling someone wiser than me, that's how stupid I am. But, my father was 10 times intelligent than me (Yes, better looking too). History, World Geography, Current Affairs, Music, Maths any damn topic in the world, he had it covered. I remember, my Dad's friends used to come to our house to meet and thank him, as he used to assist them in their CA exams, when he himself couldn't pursue education further due to financial crisis then.

I would like to share a few special moments that I had with my father. I still hate travelling in Bus (for obvious reason), hence he used to hire an Auto to and fro, from our place in Dombivli up to my Aunt's place in Nerul, could you believe! I still remember, I had got 68/100 in Maths in Std 8th Sem I, he blasted me in the noon, but to make up, bought a 64 in 1 video game cassette in the evening as a surprise. My cycle got stolen from our society as I had not chained it in-spite of his several warnings. Two months later he said we are going to a Hotel, but took Me and Mom to a Cycle shop instead.

It was 3rd of March 2011, my Mom's Birthday was on the next day. In-spite of being bedridden, he called me secretly and asked if I had bought any surprise gift for my Mom. We both gifted her a Saree. His Birthday was on 26th of the same month, but he left us on 20th. Whenever I used to return home from office, a waiting father used to look into my eyes and give me a smile. That's the time, I miss him the most now. I could not fulfill his dream of a foreign trip and that scar will stay with me always.

Friends, trust me a Father does countless sacrifices for us. Only thing is, he doesn't express as much as our Mothers do. He is our ultimate safety net, our everyday hero. Let's all celebrate the unsung hero of our life. This father's day, don't just gift him a tie or wallet or cuff-links, take him out for a dinner, sit with him and have a chat, at least create a card for him (not everybody is a good Blogger ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Lastly, don't be shy in saying, what he has been forever waiting to hear  'Dad, I love you'.

My father didn't tell me how to live.
He lived and let me watch him do it.

Now I know why Leo said, 'Climate change is real'

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Mr. Sweat' aka Nikhil here.

Are the rumors true, that a hen directly lays boiled egg these days., that solar heaters are unhappy with their boss's hot temper, that a 10 Dairy milk is sold for 300 as sizzling brownie by local grocers, that a girl broke up with her boy-friend coz he called her 'Hot'.

*Sweat Wiped*

Readers, the heat these days is intolerable, easily the most in last few decades(may be ever). Sitting in a room without AC, is my best Cardio workout these days. Even Facebook greets me like this:
I become a steamed Momo by the time I reach office. I even delete the mails with 'Warm' regards.
So who's responsible for this? We ladies and gentleman, WE.

I completely agree with Leonardo, I would have said the same thing had I got the Oscars ๐Ÿ˜‰

We ain't any scientists, but we surely can do our small bits with big impact from our side.
A hypocritical ATM runs 3 ACs and tells us not to print and save environment. Turn off our PCs, Laptops, before leaving for the day. It's actually a no brainer, please turn off your car whilst at the signal or stuck in traffic. If we can't say no plastic immediately, let's at least buy intelligently. 1 Big bottle requires less energy and produces less waste as compared to 3 small bottles. I also heard that eating vegetarian meal can conserve energy. For the time being I'll ignore this particular point.

All these things are from a very broader perspective, what can we do immediately?

Drink plenty of fluids. If possible, place a pot filled with water outside your society for everyone to drink. A bowl of water at your window for birds would do no harm. Staying hydrated is the key, else it gets so dangerous that many people lose their lives due to sunstroke every year. We have been lucky that in our part of the world, we don't face extreme weather conditions barring last couple of years, it's alarming.

As if the heat in Mumbai wasn't enough for us, me and my friends would be travelling to Rajasthan in 10 days. It shouldn't be a lot different than Sun. Bye guys, see you next time with a tanned skin.

How do you please your Mother

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Mama's Boy' aka Nikhil here.

It's my Mom's 53rd ๐ŸŽ‚ Birthday today and I'll do everything to make it special and memorable one. Cake and Balloons are on it's way. Let's see what more can I manage with my limited brains.

However, this Blog isn't about just my เค†เคˆ, it's about our Moms. So many people have written so much about Mothers and it all makes absolute sense. If you have your Mom, trust me you have everything else covered. Give it a Try, in any crisis just think that come what may, you have your Mom at home and see the problem is half vanished. There is only one person in this world that will never let you down and that's your Mother.

Your Father often get's that deserving respect, may be because he earns. What about Mother? A 24x7 thankless, penniless job in which ironically the work gets doubled on weekends. No gratuity, no PF, and no retirement either. Btw, stop calling her House-Wife, Home-Maker that's what she is. I heard Management lessons were given by our Mumbai Dabbawala's. I'm waiting when are our Home-Makers invited to teach their unmatchable managerial skills. Skills about not just managing time, money and efforts but our fuss, anger and stupidity too.

When it's only fair to stay indebted, what's that 'something' that we can do for her? First and foremost, wear a smile on your face always. That's the biggest gift you can give and that's all what she asks. Try and cook for her on the weekends, at least manage a cuppa. Get her name embossed on your house's nameplate. Buy her that favorite Kanjivaram, Paithani etc. and do not forget to praise her beauty in public. Ask her to take forced leaves by making her travel the world. Red Roses and Resto Dates are not just for your partner, that wrinkled face deserves a smile too. If she understood your silence as an infant, you must understand her fumbling lips too.

Least we can do is respect each and every Mother in the word. Readers, if you want to do something for your Mum, please do it NOW. Till we have our Mom, we don't value her enough, once she won't be with us, we won't value anything. Done reading? Go and give your Mother a tight hug, right now ๐Ÿ‘ช

Can you solve the mystery of Sherlock Holmes?

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy ' I'm SHERlocked ' aka Nikhil here.

Wish you all a very happy and happening new year 2017.
Share my Blog with 11 people and 2017 will bring you good news, ignore and nothing bad happens ๐Ÿ˜

It's also the day, that marks the beginning of my favorite TV series Sherlock Holmes Season 04.

From the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the TV series -  Sherlock has been written and produced by Steven Mofatt and Mark Gatiss (who also plays the role of Sherlock's elder brother, Mycroft Holmes). So far, 3 seasons comprising of 3 episodes each and a special episode have been aired in the year 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016  respectively. BBC One and BBC worldwide have broadcast all the episodes with a running time of 85 to 90 mins.

So, who is Sherlock Holmes? In his own words, 'A consulting detective, the only one in the world. I invented the job.' Now that's some introduction, isn't it? Along with his 'only' friend cum flatmate and assistant Dr.John Watson, Sherlock will mystify you with his out of the box puzzle solving.
Good for nothing, Inspector Greg Lestrade will bring a smile on your face even at the crime scene. Sherlock's eccentric behavior bothers all including his landlady Mrs. Hudson. Eccentric alright, but he ain't a psychopath, he is a high functioning sociopath. Don't you want to cherish the battle of wits between Holmes and his arch enemy Jim Moriarty?

The protagonists are played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, and how well have they lived their characters. Their timing, their expressions, their dialogue delivery, they have taken the already famous fictional character to a new level altogether. The credit of 'Deduction' goes completely to the dialogue writer and he deserves a special applause. His situation awareness is impeccable.
The subtle humor, unexpected twists, the punchy one liners are the heart of this series.

Think about it, 10 episodes of around 90 mins each, so it's safe to say they have produced 10 fabulous movies consistently. IMDb rating of 9.2 must be enough to tell you how intriguing every frame of this TV series is. Watch it for first 15 mins and I won't have to ask you to complete all seasons. Let me know how you liked SH, as I gear up for S04E01 'The Six Thatchers', because its elementary my dear readers.

The name is Sherlock Holmes and the address is 221B Baker Street.

Let's address the Elephant in the room

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Fatty Acid' aka Nikhil here.

While, we tend to show sympathy towards a particular block of society, why do we think it's Okay to make fun of overweight people?

How easily we address our overweight friend as Fatty, Fatso, Jadya, Potato etc. Harassing and bullying him gives us immense pleasure, ins't it? Guys, we can't even imagine what he goes through in his daily life. When our biology teacher was teaching us obesity, the entire class wasted no time in looking at our fat classmate mockingly, in a meeting, our manager says, 'Let's address the elephant in the room' and we all stare and wink at our obese colleague, an auto-rickshaw driver doesn't allow him to sit in front, as soon as he touches a T-Shirt, the shopkeeper denies having his size. There are numerous such small things which leaves him depressed and shatters his self-confidence completely.

Did we even know that obesity is a medical condition? How easily we attach fatness to food and over eating. We, the predators who mock the obese mustn't forget that stress, illness, life saving drugs, diseases like diabetes lead to weight gain too. Why am I even justifying? Even if over eating was the reason, torturing overweight people is an unacceptable form of bigotry.

So one may say, we call them fat because that's what they are, what's wrong in that? Okay, then going by the same logic will it be cool if people start addressing us as 'Ugly', 'Poor' or 'Unsuccessful'. Wouldn't that be funny too, No?

Make no mistake, nobody is advocating to stay fat here. It's absolutely necessary to maintain a healthy weight, eat clean and exercise, but there are a better ways of motivating. A person who truly cares, will pull you up and not push down deeper, simple as that. Next time we meet a fat guy, he doesn't deserve to be ridiculed and ain't a loser by any means, must be remembered.

Beard chooses you - The tale of Mane & Men

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Bearded Baba' aka Nikhil here.

I am not a male chauvinist by any means but this Blog is about Beard. It may sound funny, but I am a fan of Beard and I am pretty sure many of you are too. Mind you, Raees is trending, Rahul isn't ๐Ÿ˜œ. Completely agreed it's genetically driven, hence the saying, 'Grow what your Dad gave you'.

Trust me guys, you look awesome in Beard. Do not listen to that smooth faced friend of yours who asks you to shave and compares you with Dacoit. He is just jealous, as you have what he wants. If your Girl-friend has a good taste, she will absolutely love thy Beard. If she doesn't, you will have to change. Don't ask what, because if you sacrifice you beard for her, you deserve neither. Be rest assured, Men without Beard have a name, 'Women'. Prefer being Single over being a Women.

Your biggest threat is your own Mom. Is there any Mother in the world who loves Beard? She always wants you clean shaven and look like 4 at 28. You will have to tackle her. When asked to shave, give her Indian minster's assurance, change the topic, give silly reasons and run from the situation.
Job interviews and wedding ceremonies will empower her but you got to remain Strong & Bearded.

LoL, there are some scientific advantages of Beard too, but who needs them. Remember, your Beard is your mane that differentiates a Horse from a Donkey. May the weight of manhood never be too heavy for you and the tale of Men & Mane continue forever. However, readers it was all in a funny and sarcastic taste. But the eternal truth is, Beard doesn't make you a man, how you treat her does.

I bet you don't know what separates SRK from the rest of the lot

Hello Lovely People,
This is Nikhil, naam toh suna hoga.

Never mind about his movies, his trailer launch also trends on Twitter and Facebook. Stunned by his bearded look and Raees trailer, I thought of writing a Blog about the man himself, Dr. Shah Rukh Khan.

So, what separates King Khan from the rest of the lot? An outsider to this industry, the man who had no Godfather, no ready red carpet and yet here he is today being the Godfather himself, who has made the red carpet his own. The Self-made actor is ruling Bollywood since last two and half decades. With the most number of Film-fare awards, he must be Numero-Uno indeed.

An astounding facet of his life is, him being the perfect family man. A lovable husband and a dotting father, has never ever over-shadowed the Superstar in him. Loyalty is the rarest virtue in the film line, which only a handful could possess. Love him or hate him, but his journey from Nothing to Everything, from Middle-class to Mannat is truly inspiring. It is only apt that Mr. Mahesh Bhatt has suggested him the title for his autobiography, 'Twenty Years of a Decade'.

Apart from being easily the wittiest actor, he has that Baniye ka Dimaag too. He is a successful businessman too. Delhi boy, who had no money to travel back, today owns the costliest vanity in town. LoL, did you know, the second (Damn) richest actor in the world also owns a real estate company in Guernsey(An island known for its light taxes and easy regulations ๐Ÿ˜œ). Let's learn it from his advice, 'Don't become a philosopher before you become rich'.

However, he wasn't always the Baadshah. A kid who lost his father at 15 and mother at 25 came to Mumbai for work. Now that itself sounds as a daunting task. Fed up by the rejections and trouble this city gave him, one day in sheer anger he shouted from a bridge, 'One day I will rule this city'. Little did he knew, that God obliged at that very moment.

Fans Outside Mannat

I know, its pretty easy to get inspired by actors, their style, their looks but let's admire him not just as an actor but as a personality. A man who prefers to put things bluntly, rather than hiding behind fake modesty. He truly believes he is the best, and hence the sun never sets on him. Only actor who has received the Doctorate from University of Edinburgh, Only actor to be invited by Oxford university for a speech, Only actor who a lane by his name in Russia, Only actor whose movies are tax free in Germany must be the Only Actor Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.
