Hey Dad, if you are listening...

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Dad's Dream' aka Nikhil here.

I don't know why, I don't know how but we have to admit, its Mom always, Dad sometimes for almost all of us. So I thought let me take this opportunity and celebrate the most underrated love in the world - Father's Love. I would hence like to share something about my Baba with you all.

I lost my father 6 years back, but, there hasn't been 1 week when he wasn't in my dreams. He is always there to help me in my lack of decision making ability. I am stubborn in calling someone wiser than me, that's how stupid I am. But, my father was 10 times intelligent than me (Yes, better looking too). History, World Geography, Current Affairs, Music, Maths any damn topic in the world, he had it covered. I remember, my Dad's friends used to come to our house to meet and thank him, as he used to assist them in their CA exams, when he himself couldn't pursue education further due to financial crisis then.

I would like to share a few special moments that I had with my father. I still hate travelling in Bus (for obvious reason), hence he used to hire an Auto to and fro, from our place in Dombivli up to my Aunt's place in Nerul, could you believe! I still remember, I had got 68/100 in Maths in Std 8th Sem I, he blasted me in the noon, but to make up, bought a 64 in 1 video game cassette in the evening as a surprise. My cycle got stolen from our society as I had not chained it in-spite of his several warnings. Two months later he said we are going to a Hotel, but took Me and Mom to a Cycle shop instead.

It was 3rd of March 2011, my Mom's Birthday was on the next day. In-spite of being bedridden, he called me secretly and asked if I had bought any surprise gift for my Mom. We both gifted her a Saree. His Birthday was on 26th of the same month, but he left us on 20th. Whenever I used to return home from office, a waiting father used to look into my eyes and give me a smile. That's the time, I miss him the most now. I could not fulfill his dream of a foreign trip and that scar will stay with me always.

Friends, trust me a Father does countless sacrifices for us. Only thing is, he doesn't express as much as our Mothers do. He is our ultimate safety net, our everyday hero. Let's all celebrate the unsung hero of our life. This father's day, don't just gift him a tie or wallet or cuff-links, take him out for a dinner, sit with him and have a chat, at least create a card for him (not everybody is a good Blogger ๐Ÿ˜‰).

Lastly, don't be shy in saying, what he has been forever waiting to hear  'Dad, I love you'.

My father didn't tell me how to live.
He lived and let me watch him do it.

Now I know why Leo said, 'Climate change is real'

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Mr. Sweat' aka Nikhil here.

Are the rumors true, that a hen directly lays boiled egg these days., that solar heaters are unhappy with their boss's hot temper, that a 10₹ Dairy milk is sold for 300 as sizzling brownie by local grocers, that a girl broke up with her boy-friend coz he called her 'Hot'.

*Sweat Wiped*

Readers, the heat these days is intolerable, easily the most in last few decades(may be ever). Sitting in a room without AC, is my best Cardio workout these days. Even Facebook greets me like this:
I become a steamed Momo by the time I reach office. I even delete the mails with 'Warm' regards.
So who's responsible for this? We ladies and gentleman, WE.

I completely agree with Leonardo, I would have said the same thing had I got the Oscars ๐Ÿ˜‰

We ain't any scientists, but we surely can do our small bits with big impact from our side.
A hypocritical ATM runs 3 ACs and tells us not to print and save environment. Turn off our PCs, Laptops, before leaving for the day. It's actually a no brainer, please turn off your car whilst at the signal or stuck in traffic. If we can't say no plastic immediately, let's at least buy intelligently. 1 Big bottle requires less energy and produces less waste as compared to 3 small bottles. I also heard that eating vegetarian meal can conserve energy. For the time being I'll ignore this particular point.

All these things are from a very broader perspective, what can we do immediately?

Drink plenty of fluids. If possible, place a pot filled with water outside your society for everyone to drink. A bowl of water at your window for birds would do no harm. Staying hydrated is the key, else it gets so dangerous that many people lose their lives due to sunstroke every year. We have been lucky that in our part of the world, we don't face extreme weather conditions barring last couple of years, it's alarming.

As if the heat in Mumbai wasn't enough for us, me and my friends would be travelling to Rajasthan in 10 days. It shouldn't be a lot different than Sun. Bye guys, see you next time with a tanned skin.

How do you please your Mother

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Mama's Boy' aka Nikhil here.

It's my Mom's 53rd ๐ŸŽ‚ Birthday today and I'll do everything to make it special and memorable one. Cake and Balloons are on it's way. Let's see what more can I manage with my limited brains.

However, this Blog isn't about just my เค†เคˆ, it's about our Moms. So many people have written so much about Mothers and it all makes absolute sense. If you have your Mom, trust me you have everything else covered. Give it a Try, in any crisis just think that come what may, you have your Mom at home and see the problem is half vanished. There is only one person in this world that will never let you down and that's your Mother.

Your Father often get's that deserving respect, may be because he earns. What about Mother? A 24x7 thankless, penniless job in which ironically the work gets doubled on weekends. No gratuity, no PF, and no retirement either. Btw, stop calling her House-Wife, Home-Maker that's what she is. I heard Management lessons were given by our Mumbai Dabbawala's. I'm waiting when are our Home-Makers invited to teach their unmatchable managerial skills. Skills about not just managing time, money and efforts but our fuss, anger and stupidity too.

When it's only fair to stay indebted, what's that 'something' that we can do for her? First and foremost, wear a smile on your face always. That's the biggest gift you can give and that's all what she asks. Try and cook for her on the weekends, at least manage a cuppa. Get her name embossed on your house's nameplate. Buy her that favorite Kanjivaram, Paithani etc. and do not forget to praise her beauty in public. Ask her to take forced leaves by making her travel the world. Red Roses and Resto Dates are not just for your partner, that wrinkled face deserves a smile too. If she understood your silence as an infant, you must understand her fumbling lips too.

Least we can do is respect each and every Mother in the word. Readers, if you want to do something for your Mum, please do it NOW. Till we have our Mom, we don't value her enough, once she won't be with us, we won't value anything. Done reading? Go and give your Mother a tight hug, right now ๐Ÿ‘ช

Can you solve the mystery of Sherlock Holmes?

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy ' I'm SHERlocked ' aka Nikhil here.

Wish you all a very happy and happening new year 2017.
Share my Blog with 11 people and 2017 will bring you good news, ignore and nothing bad happens ๐Ÿ˜

It's also the day, that marks the beginning of my favorite TV series Sherlock Holmes Season 04.

From the works of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, the TV series -  Sherlock has been written and produced by Steven Mofatt and Mark Gatiss (who also plays the role of Sherlock's elder brother, Mycroft Holmes). So far, 3 seasons comprising of 3 episodes each and a special episode have been aired in the year 2010, 2012, 2014 and 2016  respectively. BBC One and BBC worldwide have broadcast all the episodes with a running time of 85 to 90 mins.

So, who is Sherlock Holmes? In his own words, 'A consulting detective, the only one in the world. I invented the job.' Now that's some introduction, isn't it? Along with his 'only' friend cum flatmate and assistant Dr.John Watson, Sherlock will mystify you with his out of the box puzzle solving.
Good for nothing, Inspector Greg Lestrade will bring a smile on your face even at the crime scene. Sherlock's eccentric behavior bothers all including his landlady Mrs. Hudson. Eccentric alright, but he ain't a psychopath, he is a high functioning sociopath. Don't you want to cherish the battle of wits between Holmes and his arch enemy Jim Moriarty?

The protagonists are played by Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman, and how well have they lived their characters. Their timing, their expressions, their dialogue delivery, they have taken the already famous fictional character to a new level altogether. The credit of 'Deduction' goes completely to the dialogue writer and he deserves a special applause. His situation awareness is impeccable.
The subtle humor, unexpected twists, the punchy one liners are the heart of this series.

Think about it, 10 episodes of around 90 mins each, so it's safe to say they have produced 10 fabulous movies consistently. IMDb rating of 9.2 must be enough to tell you how intriguing every frame of this TV series is. Watch it for first 15 mins and I won't have to ask you to complete all seasons. Let me know how you liked SH, as I gear up for S04E01 'The Six Thatchers', because its elementary my dear readers.

The name is Sherlock Holmes and the address is 221B Baker Street.

Let's address the Elephant in the room

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Fatty Acid' aka Nikhil here.

While, we tend to show sympathy towards a particular block of society, why do we think it's Okay to make fun of overweight people?

How easily we address our overweight friend as Fatty, Fatso, Jadya, Potato etc. Harassing and bullying him gives us immense pleasure, ins't it? Guys, we can't even imagine what he goes through in his daily life. When our biology teacher was teaching us obesity, the entire class wasted no time in looking at our fat classmate mockingly, in a meeting, our manager says, 'Let's address the elephant in the room' and we all stare and wink at our obese colleague, an auto-rickshaw driver doesn't allow him to sit in front, as soon as he touches a T-Shirt, the shopkeeper denies having his size. There are numerous such small things which leaves him depressed and shatters his self-confidence completely.

Did we even know that obesity is a medical condition? How easily we attach fatness to food and over eating. We, the predators who mock the obese mustn't forget that stress, illness, life saving drugs, diseases like diabetes lead to weight gain too. Why am I even justifying? Even if over eating was the reason, torturing overweight people is an unacceptable form of bigotry.

So one may say, we call them fat because that's what they are, what's wrong in that? Okay, then going by the same logic will it be cool if people start addressing us as 'Ugly', 'Poor' or 'Unsuccessful'. Wouldn't that be funny too, No?

Make no mistake, nobody is advocating to stay fat here. It's absolutely necessary to maintain a healthy weight, eat clean and exercise, but there are a better ways of motivating. A person who truly cares, will pull you up and not push down deeper, simple as that. Next time we meet a fat guy, he doesn't deserve to be ridiculed and ain't a loser by any means, must be remembered.

Beard chooses you - The tale of Mane & Men

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Bearded Baba' aka Nikhil here.

I am not a male chauvinist by any means but this Blog is about Beard. It may sound funny, but I am a fan of Beard and I am pretty sure many of you are too. Mind you, Raees is trending, Rahul isn't ๐Ÿ˜œ. Completely agreed it's genetically driven, hence the saying, 'Grow what your Dad gave you'.

Trust me guys, you look awesome in Beard. Do not listen to that smooth faced friend of yours who asks you to shave and compares you with Dacoit. He is just jealous, as you have what he wants. If your Girl-friend has a good taste, she will absolutely love thy Beard. If she doesn't, you will have to change. Don't ask what, because if you sacrifice you beard for her, you deserve neither. Be rest assured, Men without Beard have a name, 'Women'. Prefer being Single over being a Women.

Your biggest threat is your own Mom. Is there any Mother in the world who loves Beard? She always wants you clean shaven and look like 4 at 28. You will have to tackle her. When asked to shave, give her Indian minster's assurance, change the topic, give silly reasons and run from the situation.
Job interviews and wedding ceremonies will empower her but you got to remain Strong & Bearded.

LoL, there are some scientific advantages of Beard too, but who needs them. Remember, your Beard is your mane that differentiates a Horse from a Donkey. May the weight of manhood never be too heavy for you and the tale of Men & Mane continue forever. However, readers it was all in a funny and sarcastic taste. But the eternal truth is, Beard doesn't make you a man, how you treat her does.

I bet you don't know what separates SRK from the rest of the lot

Hello Lovely People,
This is Nikhil, naam toh suna hoga.

Never mind about his movies, his trailer launch also trends on Twitter and Facebook. Stunned by his bearded look and Raees trailer, I thought of writing a Blog about the man himself, Dr. Shah Rukh Khan.

So, what separates King Khan from the rest of the lot? An outsider to this industry, the man who had no Godfather, no ready red carpet and yet here he is today being the Godfather himself, who has made the red carpet his own. The Self-made actor is ruling Bollywood since last two and half decades. With the most number of Film-fare awards, he must be Numero-Uno indeed.

An astounding facet of his life is, him being the perfect family man. A lovable husband and a dotting father, has never ever over-shadowed the Superstar in him. Loyalty is the rarest virtue in the film line, which only a handful could possess. Love him or hate him, but his journey from Nothing to Everything, from Middle-class to Mannat is truly inspiring. It is only apt that Mr. Mahesh Bhatt has suggested him the title for his autobiography, 'Twenty Years of a Decade'.

Apart from being easily the wittiest actor, he has that Baniye ka Dimaag too. He is a successful businessman too. Delhi boy, who had no money to travel back, today owns the costliest vanity in town. LoL, did you know, the second (Damn) richest actor in the world also owns a real estate company in Guernsey(An island known for its light taxes and easy regulations ๐Ÿ˜œ). Let's learn it from his advice, 'Don't become a philosopher before you become rich'.

However, he wasn't always the Baadshah. A kid who lost his father at 15 and mother at 25 came to Mumbai for work. Now that itself sounds as a daunting task. Fed up by the rejections and trouble this city gave him, one day in sheer anger he shouted from a bridge, 'One day I will rule this city'. Little did he knew, that God obliged at that very moment.

Fans Outside Mannat

I know, its pretty easy to get inspired by actors, their style, their looks but let's admire him not just as an actor but as a personality. A man who prefers to put things bluntly, rather than hiding behind fake modesty. He truly believes he is the best, and hence the sun never sets on him. Only actor who has received the Doctorate from University of Edinburgh, Only actor to be invited by Oxford university for a speech, Only actor who a lane by his name in Russia, Only actor whose movies are tax free in Germany must be the Only Actor Mr. Shah Rukh Khan.

Reasons why you should embrace Death & enjoy Defeat

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Mr. Hatke' aka Nikhil here.

Life is Beautiful, Live life King size, Winning is everything, Winner takes all. So many more such quotes we read n listen about Life and Winning. Does anybody talk about Death and Defeat?

DEATH: The only inevitable thing, the universal truth. How much every grand life we live, cant escape out of it alive. Friends, we must face the truth, that there isn't one family who hasn't experienced the Good Bye of their closed ones. It hurts the most, when someone young leaves, otherwise we got to accept it as a law of nature and embrace. Let's pray to God, that nobody deserves to die in an Accident. My Dad used to say, happiest is the man who gets a sound sleep daily and who dies peacefully. I see it this way, our grandparents leave us crying only to allow us to welcome infants with a smile.

On this note, I would also like to address the last rites that we perform. It's actually more painful than the death itself. Can't we be a little more progressive? It is really Hypocritical, when a son spends a lot of money on the last rites of his father, who died in an old age home. We would be nothing more than ash unless we exit in a giving manner by donating our eyes, skin, organs. Now, that for me is a real 'Life after Death'.

DEFEAT: It is without a doubt that one should play to win. But, it's equally important to enjoy the game. It could be game of Cricket or game of Life. One cannot taste success all the time. Only Defeat teaches us the importance of winning. Coming second will teaches you the biggest virtue of life, 'patience'. Patience doesn't mean waiting for you to win, it means waiting with a right attitude.

Aren't their some bets, which we are happier losing. Greatest is that victory when you feel like you won even after losing. Accepting defeat with a smile is always preferable over a forced win. The day people start celebrating defeats, world would be a much happier place to live in.  So, the next time you lose, wear a smile.

DEATH & DEFEAT: Not sure how able I am at Metaphors. I see these too things as analogical. Death is when you finally accept your defeat to mortality, whereas Defeat is when your expectations Die. Both are unavoidable, the prior is permanent while the latter is temporary, we mustn't forget.

Allow me to quote, couple of lines from“Death be not Proud” by John Donne:

One short sleep past, we wake eternally
And death shall be no more; Death, thou shalt die.

Let us celebrate Thanksgiving, the Indian way

Hello Lovely People,
It's your homeboy 'Tom Thanks' aka Nikhil here.

It's the fourth Thursday of November, the 'Thanksgiving' day. For us, it's the day when we get cheap goods at cheaper price in US. While you are busy preparing a Turkey Feast, let me take this opportunity and commemorate the day by thanking everyone who have left a mark, knowingly or unknowingly on my life.

Can anyone thank their parents enough? Aai-Baba (Mom-Dad) you are simply the best in the world. Whatever I am today is all because of you. Thank you Mom, for still treating me as your child, for bearing my tantrums. Trust me Mom, keeping you happy is the only thing I want to do. Dad, we miss you. Well, actually I don't, because whenever a selfish Me needs your advice, I close my eyes and you give me the answer. Your awe, prevents me from pursuing any ill-habits. Dad, you know what, Mom went for Euro trip. She had an absolute blast. Sorry, I could not fulfill that dream of your's and that scar will stay with me forever. Love you Aai, Love you Baba. Thank you for being Mine.

Thank you to all my Amigos. My laziness, fuss, silly fights, irritation has only troubled you. Ignoring all these things, you guys still chose to stick with me, I must be really lucky. Trust me friends, you are my second family. Well, not all of you, some of you are ๐Ÿ˜œ Sorry, if my Sarcasm bothered you. A Bigger Sorry, coz I won't stop.

Honestly speaking, I don't get admired easily. There are very few people who have left a lasting impression on me. A very common childhood hero of almost all of us, Bharat Ratna Sachin Ramesh Tendulkar. How many personalities do you address only with their first name? I defy calling him God, but he can't be called just a sportsperson either.  All of us still hate Steve Bucknor. Thank you Sachin for making our childhood memorable.I am afraid to say, but Cricket has almost retired for me.

There may be other Bloggers, but I am the BEST. I think this stupid line of mine should be more than enough to guess who my favorite actor is. The ever (Un)modest, ever witty and the smartest, Dr. Shah Rukh Khan. They say you taught us love, I say you taught us the persistence in Love. Self confidence that you have is impeccable .Yes, I do agree, you are the last of the Stars.

Sometimes, I am amazed that our nation required an election procedure to decide that Hon. Mr. Narendra Modi is better than 'Him'. He is indeed the best PM we ever had. Mind you, I am not his, 'Chamcha' or 'Bhakt' (Devotee) but facts prevail. We praise him because he is actually good, Opposition hates him because they cant be him. He is probably our last hope to make Mera Bharat Mahaan, again. Thank you sir for your efforts on 'Clean' India.

Who doesn't love Dr. A.P.J Abdul Kalam Sir? I am sure, even Science loved the Missile Man of India. Anil Bokil, Vithal Kamat, Achyut Godbole are some of the orators I love listening to. A very special mention has to be made of the entire Amte and Bang family and Sindhutai Sakpal. They can't be called just humans. We can only imagine their greatness, touch their feet and do our very small bits. Pay a visit to  LBP Hemalkasa, SEARCH,  and I promise it will change your vision towards life.

Prakash Amte and Family

A big thank you to all the farmers of our country. I am completely aware that you need more than wishes from us. We promise we would do our best to be thankful to your extreme hard work.
Naam foundation can be a good thing to start with. Writing this Blog, I am feeling so safe and sound at my home. I mustn't forget that it's only because of all the brave-hearts patrolling our country. If there is anyone you should be thankful to, it's the Armed forces of our country. Guys, least we can do is, whenever we get to see anyone from Armed forces, let's Stop and Salute them.
"It's our lives to live because it's theirs to give"
Indian Soldiers at Siachen

I would also like to thank  to all the people who find me uncapabable, who think that I cannot achieve something. Trust me fellows, you are my biggest motivators. I love, when my haters get to see me succeed. You guys are my Turkey on every Thanksgiving๐Ÿ˜‚
Turkey Feast

Lastly I would like to thank the almighty for making this beautiful journey called Life. We, the travelers must make sure, we make it even more beautiful. Thank you Readers for patiently reading my article. Do not forget to share it with your loved ones (I don't mind haters either).

Request you all to comment the name of the person you want to Thank today.

How adventurous could cycling in mountains be?

Is the common man really stupid? Find out...

Hello ₹eaders,
Yes, that's intentional. I am sure you must be tired, returning from the banks after exchanging or depositing your white money (I don't want people with Black money to be my Readers๐Ÿ˜ ). Disadvantages of population growth is taught in Civics Std.7 I believe, right? #Demonetization.

Friends, if you can stand in long queues for "Free" Jio Sim or to get auditioned and abused in a stupid show like Roadies, we can definitely do so for the betterment of our country. Let's co-operate as much as we can to all the Bank employees. Do help in educating the people who are unaware of the 500/1000₹ note regulations.

However, this Blog isn't about ₹. Standing in the queue today, I saw many faces, and  I thought of writing about 'Us'. People who are most less talked of, often termed as a stupid common man.

We, the common man of this motherland are so interesting. For instance, yesterday while travelling in the train, I heard a Guy saying, 'Abhi yeh Donald Trump ka aana India k liye achcha nahiye', The other guy replied, 'Wapas Obama hi chahye tha re'.(Thank God, he didn't say Osama. Mind you, he can amend the US Constitution if he wants to). I doubt if either of them knew, who is the current Mayor of Mumbai.

Cricket: A sport that's spoken more, than played.
Tell me, haven't you heard, 'Sachin ko abhi hook marne nahi jamta'? Of course they can play it much better than him. That's still OK, I have seen Mr. Saba Karim saying this on national Televison, 'Sachin Paaji ko bhi samajhna hoga kii khelne ki ek strategy hoti hai'. What? Saba Karim is a common man too, isn't he?

Trust me, my Mom did Tika to our (New) TV in 2003 once Sachin started batting against Pak. I wish, Mom had applied Chandan too, and he would have scored 2 runs more. Damn! 'Phootbaal main woh mazza nahye re' and hence over 200 countries are stupid.

Travel with 'Us' and you'll get to know, which politician has how much 'Our' money and where. They get this information even before the minister's themselves. 'Hamare paise se humko hi Daru n Biryani' is the favorite line after participating in the rally of any minister. I think the Filmstars start dating only after our permission,'Phillam line main sabb chalta hai re'. Keeping track of their net worth is our birth right. We all are unbelievable in so many ways. Let us all make 'Us' special and get ourselves trending on Facebook  and Twitter too. Allow me to quote Hon. Mr. Rabindranath Tagore,

'It is very simple to be happy, but it is very difficult to be Simple'
